POWERHOUSE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

Located in the building adjacent to Magnum Electric’s West Fargo office, in-person classes are open to anyone in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Class sizes cap at 20 students/year. These smaller class sizes help us ensure each student receives personalized attention, tailored support and ample opportunities for active participation. Daytime schedules total 16 hours/month in class.

Pre-Apprenticeship Program

Two week, full-time program to get new students up to speed with operating successfully on a jobsite as an apprentice electrician. All students will start year one with the Pre-Apprenticeship Program to be set up for success when beginning the PowerHouse Apprenticeship Program.

Journeyman Prep Course

Journeyman prep courses (or private study sessions) are offered by appointment at no expense to Magnum Electric employees/apprentices. Apprentices must have a test date scheduled to qualify for this service.

Continued Ed

Monthly Continuing Education courses are offered at the PowerHouse all year for Magnum Electric employees to renew their license without the stress/cost associated with finding a local or online seminar. In-person classes are offered as well as webinar (zoom) live.

ND Licensing Requirements

The North Dakota State Electrical Board requires completion of 8,000 hours experience in electrical wiring, along with 576 hours of training classes in order to pursue licensing as a journeyman electrician.
